Multi-genre projuct
After reading this article I found a topic that I found interesting called "Crumbled Creativity". It talked about how teachers are starting to listen to their students opinions a lot more. I think this is an awesome idea so that students can have the opportunity to get better learning experience. If a student does a better job learning by seeing things then she/he can tell his teacher that it would be better for them to learn by using the white board that way the student can see more while learning better. I experience this a lot during most of my classes where the teacher allows students to share their opinion. My Grammar and Comp I teacher allows students to write a paper about the class and review a little bit about the teacher. I do feel like a lot of students do tend to say hateful things and not realize it a whole lot.

Poverty
While researching about about poverty on United Nations Millennium Goals I came across it talking about children dying because of poverty. This caught my attention so I decided to look up more information about number 4. I found out that there has been multiply studies that are done so that the mortality numbers are not so high. The website said that since 1990 and 2013 17,000 children under the age of five had not died like so in the passed. What is causing this high number to be possible is more medication is being delivered to children in need. although this number seems high it is still not enough because of the fact that there are still 6,000 plus children dying each year. So yes we are finding solutions to children dying, but we need to impact of the situations a lot more.
This is a mother and her children that have suffered due to poverty. It is a very well know picture

Start Somthing That Matters (TOMS), Reading response # 2
The three stories that I viewed were very interesting. I could tell that each one of the people that spoke really wanted to fulfill their own goal that they had set for themselves. One of the videos that I read was called TOHL and it was actually the video that won the competition that the website was having. I find a lot of this information interesting because no one else has thought about this new invention before. Plus he gets to travel the world and help others in need and to me that is awesome. I didn't even think poles could be made out of other things besides metal. or be so long that it could cover mountains. I find it really interesting too that he was able to do it by a helicopter. It was amazing that their company wanted to be a big part of it. My goal one day is to help others and do it while traveling as well. That way I could do lots of things that I like to do at the sometime. If I didn't have to worry about money then I would travel forever and learn about other cultures and other parts of the world. I know there is more out there.
This is to show that a helicopter carried tons of poles while flying.

When reading this article called 7 grammar rules you should pay attention to, by Ben Yagoda, I came to the conclusion that it was talking about common mistakes that every human makes that relates to grammar. Even I catch myself not using subjunctives, parallelisms, ext. rules correctly. Pointing this out I can understand why it is that we want to go over grammar rules using Grammar Bites during first quarter.
when reading this article I kept myself paying attention and noticed it was an easy read just because I related to a lot of what it was saying. A lot of the bad examples in this article caught my attention that I make the same mistakes. I will know to use some of their helpful hints from now on and re-read my sentences.
Sometimes asking a friend I think to re-read my sentences too could help a lot. The little things end up making a big difference in someones writing.
This is a picture of a similar face that I would make whenever I catch a silly mistake.

Peach-whatever review
The PechaKucha that I viewed was very interesting but not well done in my opinion. It was about a girl who had the strive to go jump out of a plane. She saved tons of money and volunteered to set up parachutes. She was not very good at it in the beginning and broke her foot. After lots of training and classes she finally got her license. I have learned that the key to this is an organized and interesting PechaKucha.

Chinese Gaokao Essay
Chinese Gaokao Exam
My Pin Pal from China is named Anna. She mentioned in her letter about the Gaokao (means high test) exam that people had to do before they go to college. It is like the ACT for us but their test is way more stressful. Gaokao means The National Higher Education Entrance Examination. The test first started in the year 1952. Families stress over this exam so much. They make sure that their kid in school studies so much for this test.
Students even find the craziest ways to cheat on the test. This girl gets caught with a hidden camera in her pen, and a recording device that looks like an eraser. Other students hide cameras in other devises thinking that they could get away with it. Due to students cheat so often, their are lots of security.

Lots of people show up to take this test all at once due to the high rate of citizens in China. People spend the night in hotels. They also take long trips to get to the testing place. They find places that will help them study the best by being alone because lots of students stress their selves to the max over this exam. They get IV drips while taking the test because it helps them stress out less.
The three main subjects that the exam is over is math, science, and Chinese. In China, whole universities are focused just on electrical engineering or computer studies. Due to the fact that the universities are so pushed towards a minimum amount of studies, students do not get to show off the talents that they have.
I would hate to take this exam by the research that I have done. In my opinion this test seems really hard. I thought the ACT was hard, but the Gaokao essay seems like I would have plenty of anxiety attacks. I would not think that a test could have so much security. I did not think that just a simple test could determine someones life.

Face to Facei
Face to Face
I listen to five different types of race. All of them have experienced something big in their life that had to do with fear and anxiety. They lose sleep and families worry about one another. I know that I would be really scared if I was involved in a serious situation. I know that the twin towers were a mess and awful to deal with but I barely remember it and I was miles away.
test
It said that I can deal with both fat people and thin people.
