Anchor
Sometimes you don't realize you're actually drowning when you're trying to be everyone else's anchor.

Multi-genre projuct
After reading this article I found a topic that I found interesting called "Crumbled Creativity". It talked about how teachers are starting to listen to their students opinions a lot more. I think this is an awesome idea so that students can have the opportunity to get better learning experience. If a student does a better job learning by seeing things then she/he can tell his teacher that it would be better for them to learn by using the white board that way the student can see more while learning better. I experience this a lot during most of my classes where the teacher allows students to share their opinion. My Grammar and Comp I teacher allows students to write a paper about the class and review a little bit about the teacher. I do feel like a lot of students do tend to say hateful things and not realize it a whole lot.

Poverty
While researching about about poverty on United Nations Millennium Goals I came across it talking about children dying because of poverty. This caught my attention so I decided to look up more information about number 4. I found out that there has been multiply studies that are done so that the mortality numbers are not so high. The website said that since 1990 and 2013 17,000 children under the age of five had not died like so in the passed. What is causing this high number to be possible is more medication is being delivered to children in need. although this number seems high it is still not enough because of the fact that there are still 6,000 plus children dying each year. So yes we are finding solutions to children dying, but we need to impact of the situations a lot more.
This is a mother and her children that have suffered due to poverty. It is a very well know picture

Start Somthing That Matters (TOMS), Reading response # 2
The three stories that I viewed were very interesting. I could tell that each one of the people that spoke really wanted to fulfill their own goal that they had set for themselves. One of the videos that I read was called TOHL and it was actually the video that won the competition that the website was having. I find a lot of this information interesting because no one else has thought about this new invention before. Plus he gets to travel the world and help others in need and to me that is awesome. I didn't even think poles could be made out of other things besides metal. or be so long that it could cover mountains. I find it really interesting too that he was able to do it by a helicopter. It was amazing that their company wanted to be a big part of it. My goal one day is to help others and do it while traveling as well. That way I could do lots of things that I like to do at the sometime. If I didn't have to worry about money then I would travel forever and learn about other cultures and other parts of the world. I know there is more out there.
This is to show that a helicopter carried tons of poles while flying.

When reading this article called 7 grammar rules you should pay attention to, by Ben Yagoda, I came to the conclusion that it was talking about common mistakes that every human makes that relates to grammar. Even I catch myself not using subjunctives, parallelisms, ext. rules correctly. Pointing this out I can understand why it is that we want to go over grammar rules using Grammar Bites during first quarter.
when reading this article I kept myself paying attention and noticed it was an easy read just because I related to a lot of what it was saying. A lot of the bad examples in this article caught my attention that I make the same mistakes. I will know to use some of their helpful hints from now on and re-read my sentences.
Sometimes asking a friend I think to re-read my sentences too could help a lot. The little things end up making a big difference in someones writing.
This is a picture of a similar face that I would make whenever I catch a silly mistake.
